BROW LIFT TREATMENT

As we age, brow ptosis, upper eyelid sagging, and changes in the periorbital area become more noticeable. Non-surgical interventions can effectively address these issues by elevating the eyebrows and opening up the eye region, leading to a rejuvenated appearance.

Our non-surgical treatment options utilize muscle relaxant products that block neurotransmitters, effectively reducing muscle contractions around the eyes and forehead. This approach results in a lifted brow and a more open eye area.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Typically, after the initial few sessions, the results last around two months. However, with regular treatments, the effects can extend longer as the treated muscles become retrained.

If you stop the treatments, your muscles will gradually return to their normal state, and your wrinkles will revert to their previous condition—they will not worsen.

RETURNING TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES

You can usually return to your regular activities soon after the treatment. However, to achieve the best results and reduce the risk of complications, it’s advisable to refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise or touching the treated area for the first 24 hours.

POTENTIAL RISKS

All non-surgical treatments come with inherent risks, and it’s important to recognize these potential complications. Although the majority of patients do not encounter serious issues, it’s essential to have an open discussion with your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have.

Some common side effects may appear right after the procedure or develop over time. These can include:

  • Discomfort, burning, or tingling sensations at the site of injection
  • Bruising, swelling, or redness in the treated area
  • Temporary weakness in nearby muscles, which may lead to drooping eyelids or brows
  • Tightness of the skin, itching, or a feeling of heaviness in the forehead
  • Headaches, feelings of nausea, or flu-like symptoms

While exceedingly uncommon, there are cases where effects can extend beyond the injection site, potentially leading to:

  • Decreased strength or muscle weakness
  • Drooping of the upper eyelid
  • Blurred or double vision
  • Difficulty with speech
  • Challenges with swallowing or constipation

These symptoms may arise hours to weeks after the treatment and are more frequently observed in patients who receive higher doses or have underlying health issues that could heighten their risk.

POST-PROCEDURE CARE

Following your treatment, you may notice several frequent side effects, which typically subside over time. These can include:

  • Swelling at the sites of injection
  • Bruising
  • Redness in the areas where the needles were applied
  • Sensitivity
  • Tightness in the treated region

Additionally, you may have a slight headache; paracetamol can be taken if necessary.

Expected Results

Initial effects of your treatment may become apparent within two to four days, while the complete results can take up to 14 days to manifest. You may need additional sessions to attain your preferred results.

Post-Treatment Care

If you experience any unusual reactions or side effects, please reach out to the clinic immediately at 1300 373 662. In certain cases, further treatments, medications, or surgical interventions may be required.

For any concerns after hours, please visit your nearest medical facility or emergency room.

You can resume your regular activities immediately after the treatment, including driving. However, we suggest adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Refrain from vigorous exercise and consuming alcohol for the first 24 hours.
  • Avoid extended sun exposure and extreme temperatures for a minimum of two weeks post-treatment.
  • Do not touch or massage the treated area.
  • Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, IPL, laser treatments, or any other skin care procedures for at least two weeks.

You will receive both verbal and written instructions as part of your aftercare plan regarding what to expect following your treatment.
