Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is relatively minor compared to the overall cost of your surgery. Breast Augmentation surgery is a highly personalised procedure that does involve choosing which implants will work with your anatomy to achieve your preferred aesthetic outcome.
Your initial consultation with Dr Eddy Dona will involve:
- A discussion regarding your general medical history and about what look you are aiming achieve from your breast augmentation.
- An examination of your chest and breast footprint to help determine the ideal implant size for your anatomy.
- A review of which implants are technically suitable for your frame and a confirmation of which implant it will be.
- A discussion about the surgery itself, including the recovery and any potential complications.

Variations in Breast Augmentation Implant Type, Shape & Sizes

Like all cosmetic surgical procedures, Breast Augmentation is performed in Private Hospitals which contribute a significant portion of your overall fee. Part of your total fee paid to Bella Plastic Surgery is to cover the operating theatre costs and your hospital care.
Breast Augmentation Anaesthetist Fee
The anaesthetic required for a Breast Augmentation procedure is always provided by a specialist anaesthetic doctor. The Anaesthetist administers your anaesthetic, monitors your wellbeing throughout the procedure, and manages your post-operative analgesia (medication requirements). Part of your total fee paid to Bella Plastic Surgery is to pay for this specialist care.
Will the cost of my Breast Augmentation be covered by Medicare or private health insurance?
Medicare does not cover cosmetic elective surgical procedures. Breast augmentation is primarily a cosmetic procedure, but in some rare cases it may be deemed to be medically necessary, and in such cases, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. For example, if you suffer from a congenital anomaly of your breasts, such as tuberous breasts, you may be eligible for a rebate.

We are unable to offer any finance options to our patients.
