For individuals who prefer a more delicate and refined facial structure rather than a broad, square jawline, we provide a range of non-surgical treatments aimed at achieving a slimming effect on the lower face. These procedures are designed to enhance the natural contours of your face, creating a softer, more feminine appearance. Our skilled practitioners utilise advanced techniques to sculpt the jawline, resulting in a harmonious balance that aligns with your aesthetic goals while ensuring minimal downtime and a quick recovery.
Dr Eddy Dona has been a specialist plastic surgeon since 2007, and is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. From your first clinic visit, and throughout your surgical journey, Dr Dona and his team will be there to make it as smooth as possible.

Typically, the treatment requires a minimum of 25 units of the product to be administered on each side of the jaw. Patients generally experience minimal downtime, with only slight bruising and swelling being common side effects. However, some discomfort may arise when chewing harder foods, such as steak, and this sensation can persist for several weeks following the procedure. Most individuals find that the benefits of the treatment far outweigh these temporary inconveniences, allowing them to enjoy a more sculpted jawline without significant interruptions to their daily activities.
The effects of the treatment begin to manifest within one week, becoming more prominent after four to six weeks. Results can last for up to six months, and with multiple sessions, patients often experience progressively longer-lasting outcomes. This cumulative effect means that each treatment can enhance the overall results, providing a more refined and contoured appearance over time.
Addressing the jaw muscles can be highly beneficial for those who suffer from bruxism, a condition characterized by nighttime teeth grinding. Dentists frequently diagnose this issue, as it can lead to considerable wear on the teeth and often results in discomfort or pain in the jaw joint (TMJ). By targeting the masseter muscles, this treatment can effectively alleviate the symptoms associated with bruxism, reducing both teeth grinding and associated jaw pain.
All procedures, including non-surgical options, come with certain risks that you should fully understand prior to undergoing treatment. While the majority of patients do not face these complications, it is essential to discuss any concerns with your doctor.
Side effects can manifest either immediately or after some time.
You may experience symptoms such as pain, a burning sensation, stinging, bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site. Additionally, you might encounter local muscle weakness, which could result in drooping eyelids or eyebrows, skin tightness, itchiness, discomfort in the forehead area, headaches, nausea, or symptoms resembling the flu.
Though very uncommon, some effects of the muscle relaxant may spread beyond the injection site, potentially causing issues like muscle weakness, drooping in surrounding facial muscles, double or blurred vision, difficulties in speaking, constipation, aspiration, or swallowing problems. These symptoms may develop from hours to weeks after the procedure and are more likely to occur in individuals receiving higher dosages or those with existing medical conditions that predispose them to these issues.
After your treatment, it’s typical to encounter several minor side effects, which should gradually diminish over time. Common effects include:
You may also experience a mild headache; Paracetamol can be used if necessary to ease discomfort.
You can expect to see some effects from your treatment within 2 to 4 days, with the complete results generally manifesting within 14 days. To achieve your desired look, you might need additional treatments.
