Bunny Lines Sydney

Bunny lines are the wrinkles that appear on the sides of the nose, often becoming more pronounced after muscle relaxant treatments around the eyes. At Bella Plastic Surgery, we provide non-surgical solutions specifically designed to reduce the appearance of bunny lines and enhance your overall facial aesthetics.

BUNNY LINES TREATMENT

Addressing bunny lines requires an understanding of the muscular dynamics that contribute to their formation. At Bella Plastic Surgery, we provide effective non-surgical treatment options tailored to this concern. One of the most prevalent methods involves using muscle relaxant products that inhibit neurotransmitters, thereby reducing the contraction of the muscles responsible for creating bunny lines. This approach helps to smooth the area and enhance your overall facial harmony.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Typically, following the initial few sessions, the results can last approximately two to three months. With consistent treatments, these effects may extend even longer, as the targeted muscles become retrained over time.

If you decide to stop the treatments, your muscles will revert to their normal function, and your wrinkles will return to their original state without worsening.

RETURNING TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES

You can generally resume your regular activities soon after the treatment. However, it’s recommended to avoid intense exercise or touching the treated area for at least 24 hours afterward.

POTIENTIAL RISKS

Every non-surgical procedure involves certain risks, and it’s essential to be informed about these potential complications. While most patients experience minimal issues, discussing any concerns with your physician is important for a thorough understanding.

Common side effects may occur immediately or can appear later, including:

  • Pain, burning, stinging, bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site
  • Local muscle weakness, which may cause drooping of the eyelids or eyebrows
  • Swelling of the eyelids, skin tightness, itching, or discomfort in the forehead
  • Headaches, nausea, or flu-like symptoms

Although rare, some effects may extend beyond the injection site, leading to symptoms such as:

  • Loss of strength and muscle weakness
  • Drooping of the upper eyelid
  • Double or blurred vision
  • Difficulty speaking, constipation, aspiration, or trouble swallowing

These symptoms can occur hours to weeks after the injection and are more likely to affect patients who receive higher doses or those with underlying health conditions.

POST-PROCEDURE CARE

Following your treatment, you may encounter several common side effects, which generally resolve with time. These may include:

  • Swelling at the injection sites
  • Bruising
  • Redness at the injection sites
  • Tenderness
  • Tightness

A mild headache may also occur; you can take paracetamol for relief if necessary.

Final Results

You may begin to see the effects of your treatment within two to four days. However, the full effects can take up to 14 days to manifest. Additional treatments may be necessary to reach your desired results.

Aftercare Instructions

If you experience any inflammatory reactions or side effects, please contact the clinic immediately at 1300 373 662. In some cases, further treatments, medications, or surgery might be required.

For after-hours concerns, please visit your local medical center or emergency department.

You can return to your normal activities, including driving, right after treatment. However, we recommend taking the following precautions:

  • Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for the first 24 hours.
  • Refrain from prolonged sun exposure and extreme temperatures for at least two weeks after treatment.
  • Do not touch or massage the treated area.
  • Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, IPL, laser treatments, or any other skin procedures for at least two weeks after treatment.

You will receive both verbal and written instructions as part of your post-treatment care plan.
