Lip Flip Sydney

An increasing number of individuals, both women and men, are interested in achieving fuller lips without resorting to volumising products. At our clinic, we provide a non-surgical solution that focuses on the muscles of the upper lip. This treatment encourages the upper lip to gently roll outward, creating a subtle lip flip effect.

LIP FLIP TREATMENT

The non-surgical lip flip procedure is distinct from standard lip augmentation. Rather than increasing volume, the lip flip enhances the lips’ appearance by exposing a greater portion of the upper lip, thereby creating a temporary effect of fuller lips.

HOW DOES IT WORK

The muscles surrounding the mouth can cause the upper lip to turn inward. We utilise products that block the neurotransmitters responsible for the contraction of these upper lip muscles.

The lip flip treatment is a treatment option for individuals looking for a subtle improvement in the appearance of their lips.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

The lip flip treatment is a non-surgical procedure that is usually swift and involves minimal invasion. Results typically endure for a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on factors such as the quantity of product used and individual characteristics like muscle activity and metabolism.

If you stop the treatments, your muscles will revert to their usual state, and your upper lip will regain its original appearance.

RETURNING TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES

You can typically resume your normal routine shortly after the lip flip procedure. However, it’s recommended that you avoid vigorous exercise or any kind of massage on the treated area for the first 24 hours post-treatment.

POTENTIAL RISKS

Every non-surgical procedure carries inherent risks, and it’s crucial for you to be aware of these potential complications. Most patients do not experience the following issues, but it’s advisable to discuss each with your healthcare provider for a thorough understanding.

Side effects may manifest immediately or may not become apparent until later.

You may encounter symptoms such as discomfort, burning, stinging, bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection sites. Additionally, there might be local muscle weakness, which can include drooping of the eyelids or eyebrows; other possible reactions include swollen eyelids, tightness of the skin, itching or aching in the forehead, headaches, and flu-like symptoms.

In rare instances, effects of the treatment may extend beyond the injection site, leading to symptoms like muscle weakness, upper eyelid drooping, double or blurred vision, difficulty speaking, constipation, aspiration, or swallowing difficulties. These effects can occur anywhere from hours to weeks after the procedure and are more common in individuals receiving high doses or those with pre-existing conditions that might make them more susceptible to such symptoms.

POST-PROCEDURE CARE

After undergoing treatment, it’s common to experience some side effects, which typically diminish over time. These may include:

  • Swelling at the injection sites
  • Bruising
  • Redness around the treated areas
  • Tenderness
  • Sensation of tightness

A mild headache might occur as well; if needed, you can take paracetamol for relief.

Final Outcomes

You should start noticing the results of your treatment within two to four days. However, it may take up to two weeks to see the full effect. Additional sessions may be necessary to achieve your desired outcome.

Post-Treatment Care

If you experience any unusual inflammatory reactions or side effects, please call our clinic immediately at 1300 373 662. Depending on the situation, further treatments or medications may be needed.

For urgent concerns outside regular hours, please visit your nearest medical center or emergency room.

You can generally resume your normal activities, including driving, right after your treatment. However, it’s advisable to avoid vigorous exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours.

Additionally, steer clear of prolonged sun exposure and extreme temperatures for at least two weeks following your treatment.

Refrain from touching or massaging the treated areas, and avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, IPL, laser procedures, or any other skin treatments for a minimum of two weeks post-treatment.

You will receive both verbal and written instructions regarding aftercare as part of your treatment plan.
